Four Year Medical Program (MD)

The Four Year Medical Program (MD) also referred to as the Advanced Six Year Medical Program is applicable to undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 90 credit hours in the pre-medical courses or one who has a four year college degree which includes the required pre medical courses, along with their MCAT score.

Our Admissions committee will look into a variety of factors for an applicant to be considered for admission into the four Year medical program at one of our affiliated Universities in Poland. Some of those are :

  • Undergraduate cumulative GPA
  • GPA in the required pre-medical course work
  • Competitiveness of undergraduate school and curriculum
  • Graduate work and records
  • MCAT scores
  • Personal essay
  • Letters of recommendation from academic and/or professional references
  • Extracurricular activities and accomplishments
  • Work history and professional or volunteer experiences
  • Personal interview

Applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies in countries having an educational system different from that of the United States or Canada will be evaluated on their merits. These students must have their education evaluated by a US based Education and Credential Evaluating agency (such as World Education Services – WES).

Initial Interview :

We strongly believe in the value of a personal interview over the phone or in person with prospective students. Applicants whose credentials are judged to be indicative will be invited or notified for an interview, generally within two to four weeks after the initial application materials have been received by our office. The interview helps assess your overall personal and academic background, maturity, adaptability, character, aptitude, and most importantly, your motivation to become a doctor. Applicants are advised that being granted an interview is not a guarantee of acceptance, though it does play a significant part in the decision by the Admissions Committee.

MCAT :

The MCAT score reflects an applicant’s commitment towards his/her ambition to study medicine. One of the biggest factors for the admission committee is the MCAT score.  It is highly recommended that prospective applicants have a good MCAT score.

Pre-requisites :

To apply for the Four Year Medical Program, prospective students are required to have completed a minimum 90 credits of undergraduate college work including pre medical courses as stated below. Pre-requisite courses cannot be more than 8 years old. The coursework should include the following :

  • General Chemistry I & II with labs
  • Organic Chemistry I & II with labs
  • General Biology I & II with labs
  • 2 semesters of Advanced Biology courses
  • Physics I & II with labs
  • Mathematics: Preferably Calculus or Statistics

It is highly recommended to have an additional year (2 semesters) of advanced level Biology courses with the above stated requirements for a strong foundation in pre-medical sciences.

Application Deadline :

Since we have a rolling admissions process, there are no application deadlines. We continue to accept applications for each semester until all seats are filled. We have 2 semesters in a year (one in the Fall and one in the Spring) for the four-year MD program. In the event that all seats are filled before an applicant receives a decision, the application is automatically considered for the next available semester.
